Our Story

We are Jimmy Smrz and Ashley Troxell, two psychonauts who share a love for mushrooms and a mission to spread their benefits. We met at a panel discussion on ending the drug war in Denver in 2021 and discovered that we had a lot in common. We both had experienced profound healing and transformation through intentional use of sacred fungi, and we both had a background in education and coaching. We decided to join forces and create Mocktails and Mushrooms, a podcast that combines our expertise, passion, and humor to explore the fascinating world of psychedelic mushrooms. Our goal is to educate and entertain our listeners, as well as to build a community of mushroom lovers who can support each other on their journeys.
